Tonino Negri nasce a Lodi nel 1961. Si forma nel mestiere dell’arte frequentando artisti e artigiani con cui collabora dall’80 in varie imprese artistiche di scultura-ceramica.  
Nel 1993 fonda la Bottega del Respiro alla Comunità Il Gabbiano (chiusa nel 2003). 
Conduce un suo Laboratorio-Bottega di Arti Applicate e Ceramica a Lodi. 
Realizza installazioni di grandi dimensioni in piazze, parchi e chiese con l’utilizzo di materiali anche diversi dalla terracotta. Si occupa di teatro curando personalmente alcune regie o in collaborazione con altri registi come costruttore di scenografie teatrali. 

 

Tonino Negri was born in Lodi in 1961. He learned his art form studying under artists and artisans with whom he has collaborated since 1980 in a variety of artistic endeavours involving sculpture-ceramics. In 1993 he founded the Bottega del Respiro (Breath Workshop) at the Gabbiano Drug Rehabilitation Centre (closed in 2003). 
He leads an Applied Arts and Ceramics Artistic Workshop in Lodi. 
Tonino Negri creates large scale installations in plazas, parks and in churches, utilising materials other than terra cotta. He also personally oversees the direction of several theatrical projects in collaboration with other directors as theatre set design builder.
