Meret Pérez is an goldsmith of Swiss / Colombian origin, with a training that starts in Florence (Arti Orafe Jewelery School) and continues with international training and professional experiences.
Currently her collections are inspired by two ancient goldsmith techniques, Granulation and Mokume Gane, that Meret develops in a contemporary way. Granulation is an Etruscan technique consisting in the union, at high temperatures, of small 925 silver spheres with a surface of the same material.
The Mokume Gane, which in Japanese means "metal with wood grain", involves the overlapping of sheets of different metals, then merged together indissolubly. With the help of hammer, chisel and file, the goldsmith then highlights the colors of the various metals to create a unique design.
