Giovanni Maffucci, dopo il diploma in Chimica Industriale, frequenta l’Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze.  Vince una borsa di studio che lo porta presso l’atelièr dell’austriaco Heintz Lackinger, esperto in Ceramica preistorica, esperienza che segna il suo percorso formativo. L’intenso lavoro ceramico si concretizza nell’ ideazione di tecniche originali, come la “Firepaint” (pittura con il fuoco), che danno nuovo respiro alle più antiche ed essenziali tecniche ceramiche.
 

Giovanni Maffucci, after graduating in Industrial Chemistry, attends the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence. He wins a scholarship that brings him to the atelièr of the Austrian Heintz Lackinger, an expert in prehistoric ceramics. This experience marks his training path. The intense ceramic work is embodied in the research and development of original techniques, such as "Firepaint" (painting with fire), which give new breath to the most ancient and essential ceramic techniques.
